What we do
Everything outside the back door, handled by one team
No juggling a paver, a retic bloke and a landscaper who each blame the other. We plan it, build it, and come back to look after it.

Landscape Design & Construction
Concept plan and a fixed-price build, one team from the first sketch to the final sweep.

Paving, Limestone & Retaining Walls
Limestone blocks, retaining, crossovers and paving laid on a compacted base that will not sink in three years.

Turf Supply & Lawn Installation
Soil prep, levelling and certified turf, delivered the morning it is laid so it never cooks on the pallet.

Reticulation & Waterwise Irrigation
New systems, repairs and controller setups tuned to your two rostered watering days — not to a factory default.

Decking, Pergolas & Outdoor Living
Jarrah and composite decks, patios, screens and outdoor kitchens that make the backyard usable in February.

Garden Maintenance & Care Plans
Fortnightly or monthly care by the same crew every visit, with a photo report in your inbox the same afternoon.
Recent work
Perth gardens we have built
Real scope, real timelines, real budgets, so you can see where your project would sit.

Coastal Reset — Scarborough
A wind-blasted sand block turned into a low-water coastal garden around a new pool.

Family Yard Rebuild — Duncraig
Two sloping levels of tired kikuyu rebuilt into one flat, usable lawn for two kids and a dog.

Alfresco Extension — Mount Lawley
A jarrah deck and batten pergola that made a west-facing character home’s backyard usable after 3pm.
Why Dawson
Built for Perth sand, Perth sun and two watering days
Anyone can put plants in the ground. Choosing ones that will still be thriving after a February on the sprinkler roster is a different job, and it is the one we plan for from the first site visit.
- Soil improvement as standard Bentonite clay and compost blended to 150mm, because straight Perth sand holds neither water nor nutrient.
- Dripline under mulch Water goes to the roots instead of into the air, which usually halves garden bed water use.
- Controllers set to your roster days Programmed, labelled and left with a printed schedule on the controller door.
- Plants that belong here Waterwise and native-friendly selections that hold their colour without daily watering.
- We leave it as we found it The site swept and hosed down at the end of every day, not just the last one, and all waste, offcuts and packaging taken away with us.

Our promise
What we put in writing
We believe trust starts with being clear from the beginning. That means putting our commitments in writing and giving you a clear understanding of what to expect.
A fixed price, in writing
You get an itemised quote before anything starts. The number you agree to is the number you pay, and if we find something unexpected that changes the job, we stop and talk to you before we touch it.
A start date and a finish date
We will provide an expected start and finish date and keep you informed if anything changes along the way.
Twelve month workmanship guarantee
If paving moves, turf fails to take or a retic station stops firing because of how we installed it, we come back and fix it. No charge, no argument.
Common questions
The things people ask before they call
How much does landscaping cost in Perth?
Unfortunately a magic number doesn’t exist. Every project is unique, so our first step is to understand both your needs and your current landscape conditions. Estimates can easily be given over the phone followed by a free on site quote to determine the exact cost with no obligations.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. On-site quotes across the Perth metro area are free and there is no obligation, and we are happy to talk through jobs outside it. We only charge for the design stage if you want a concept plan, and that fee comes off the build.
How far do you travel?
We service Western Australia. Free on-site quotes cover the Perth metro area, roughly Two Rocks in the north to Mandurah in the south and out to the foothills. For work further afield, give us a call and we will sort the details with you.
How long will my job take?
Small jobs like turf or a retic upgrade take two to four days. A full backyard build is usually three to six weeks depending on retaining and approvals. You get both dates in writing before we start.
Are you insured and licensed?
Yes. We carry public liability cover and workers compensation for the crew, and we engage registered builders for any structure that needs certification. Ask and we will send you the current certificates before you commit to anything.
Can you work with my existing plans?
Yes. Bring a designer’s plan or a Pinterest board and we will price it honestly, including the parts we think will not work in Perth conditions.
Ready for a garden you actually use?
Free on-site quote anywhere in the Perth metro area. Fixed price, written dates, one crew from start to finish.
