This page explains what Dawson Landscaping does with the information you give us through this website. We keep it short and in plain English, because a privacy policy nobody reads protects nobody.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into a form on this site. That is:
- Your name, mobile number and suburb, so we can call you back and know where the job is.
- Your email address, if you give us one.
- What you told us about the work: the service, the size, your timing and your budget range.
- Any photos or files you attach to a quote request.
- Anything else you write in the message box.
We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site, and we never will by email.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, come out and quote the work, and keep you updated while the job runs. That is the only reason. We do not sell your details, we do not rent them, and we do not pass them to anyone for marketing.
Where it goes
When you send a form, two things happen. The details are emailed to us at info@dawsonlandscaping.com.au, and a copy is saved in this website’s admin so an enquiry cannot be lost if an email goes astray. Both are on servers our web host runs.
We share your details with someone else only when we genuinely need to in order to do the job you asked for, for example a supplier delivering turf to your address, or a certifier for a retaining wall. We tell you when that happens.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within twelve months. If we do work for you, we keep the job records for seven years, because tax and warranty obligations require it.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies and does no tracking across other websites. We use basic analytics to see which pages people visit and which enquiries come from where, so we know what is worth keeping on the site. That data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Your browser may also store a small amount of information so a form you have started is not lost if the page reloads. That stays on your own device.
Security
The site runs over an encrypted connection, so anything you type into a form is encrypted in transit. No website can promise perfect security, but we do not keep anything on this site that we do not need, which is the most effective protection there is.
Seeing or deleting what we hold
Email us at info@dawsonlandscaping.com.au and ask. We will tell you what we have about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it, and we will do it within a reasonable time and at no cost. If you would rather we did not hold your enquiry at all, say so and it goes.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first at info@dawsonlandscaping.com.au so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when what we do changes, not on a schedule. This version was last updated on 2 September 2026.
