Turf Supply & Lawn Installation
A lawn is 80% what happens before the turf arrives. We remove the old surface, correct the levels, wet the profile, and improve the sand so roots have something to hold. Turf is ordered to arrive on the morning of the lay, straight off the farm.
What is included
- Old lawn & weed removal Sprayed out and rotary hoed, or lifted entirely where the soil is spent.
- Soil profile & wetting agent Bentonite clay and compost blended to 150mm, with a soil wetter applied through the first fortnight.
- Laser-guided levelling Falls set away from the house and screeded flat so mowing is even.
- Certified turf supply Sir Walter DNA Certified buffalo, Kikuyu, or TifTuf hybrid couch, depending on shade and traffic.
- Four-week establishment check We come back, check root strike, adjust the retic run times and fix anything that has not taken.
Which turf actually survives a Perth summer
Sir Walter buffalo handles part shade and family traffic and is the safe answer for most suburban blocks. TifTuf couch uses noticeably less water and repairs itself fast, but it wants full sun — put it under a jacaranda and you will be re-turfing in two years. Kikuyu is the cheapest and the most aggressive; we only recommend it for large open areas where invasion into garden beds does not matter.

When can we walk on the new lawn?
Keep off it for two weeks apart from watering, then light foot traffic. Full family and pet use at about six weeks.
How much water does new turf need?
Daily for the first fortnight, which Water Corporation allows under a new-lawn exemption. We lodge the exemption for you and set the controller to match.
Can you lay turf in summer?
Yes — it strikes faster in warm soil. It just needs the watering discipline, which is why we set the retic before the turf arrives rather than after.
